CULTURE CHANEL exhibition has been taken place for a month in Seoul.
Since 2007, this has taken the form of series of exhibitions curated by Jean-Louis Froment,
that offer an exploration of Gabrielle Chanel’s very singular life and her creative journey.
In the 2001 Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear collection, a reference to Roy Lichtenstein,
Karl Lagerfeld paid tribute to Pop Art and N°5. The “Just a drop of N°5” used the famous line
by Marilyn Monroe revealing her intimate relationship with N°5. Top of the list of American
Pop Art culture, Andy Warhol took CHANEL N°5 and produced a series of screen-prints
firmly anchoring N°5 in contemporary culture.
